Welcome to Cloudy Hill Farm - our life, our passion, our purpose, our joy.

My name is Alexandra, and together with my precious husband David, we fulfilled one of our joint lifelong dreams of moving to the country and living a simple, calm life filled with animals and nature.

We bought our beautiful 107-acre farm in the picturesque Monkerai Valley of NSW in 2018 and proceeded to owner-build our little farmhouse during 2020, before FINALLY moving to our piece of heaven-on-Earth in 2021.

We both came from the corporate world - and after years of stress, ill-health, and a feeling that something was missing, we started 2018 doing ‘Funday Mondays’… travelling to the Gloucester and Stroud regions every week looking at properties and dreaming of a more purpose-filled life.

As Lady-Luck would have it, we found our beautiful farm in August 2018 and the rest, as they say, is history. And what a blissful history it has been.

Farm life definitely has its fair share of ups and downs, the highest of highs, and the devastating lowest of lows. But, life goes on - our livestock require our attention, whether we are well and able or not.

Finding our purpose through the joy of alpacas (and our beautiful cows) gives meaning to every day. Finding like-minded people to share our journey with through the products that we produce from our boys’ fleece and poo is a truly humbling experience. I’m thankful to share our experiences and love of our alpacas with them…

Gardeners who love our alpaca poo, growing medium, seed-raising mix, fleece mulch… it is truly a joy to discuss all things ‘garden’ with them.

Then there are the fibre fanatics… the lovely spinners, knitters, crocheters, felters, and fibre artisans who so cleverly turn our boys’ fleece into beautiful creations. Just like our gardener customers, I could sit and chat with the fibre fanatics for many hours.

Thank you for being a part of our journey,

Alexandra and David
